Who we are

What we collect

When you use the contact or model enquiry form we collect what you type: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, the town or postal code you enter, any photographs you attach, and the page you were on. We use it to answer you, and for nothing else.

When you call, we may note your name and number so we can call you back.

When you buy from us we collect what a sale needs: your name, address, contact details and payment information. Card payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store card numbers.

This website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read, and Google Ads measurement to see whether an ad led to an enquiry. Both use cookies.

We have turned on Google signals, which lets Google add aggregated information, such as age range and interests, from visitors who are signed in to a Google account and have allowed ad personalization. We only ever see totals, never individual people.

When you send a form, your email address and phone number are scrambled (hashed) in your browser before they are shared with Google Ads, so Google can tell whether the enquiry came from an ad without us sending your details in readable form.

We also use Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors move through the site, such as where they click and how far they scroll, so we can make pages easier to use. Clarity hides anything typed into forms, and we use what it records only to improve this website.

You can control how Google uses your information at adssettings.google.com, and you can opt out of Google Analytics on every site with the browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This site uses them only for the analytics and advertising measurement described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works without them.

How we use it

• To answer your enquiry and, if you ask, to quote, deliver and install.
• To keep a record of your purchase and warranty.
• To understand which pages and ads bring people to the site.
• To meet legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We share it only with the people who help us serve you: our delivery and installation crews, the manufacturer for a warranty claim, our payment provider, and our website and email providers.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as it takes to answer them and for a reasonable period after, so we can pick up the conversation if you come back. Sales records are kept for as long as tax law requires. You can ask us to delete an enquiry at any time.

Your rights

You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@muskokahottub.com and we will reply within thirty days. We follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). If you are not satisfied with our answer you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Security

Information you send through the site travels over an encrypted connection. Enquiries are stored on our website host and in our email, both of which are password-protected and limited to the people who need them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
